Cold Turkey

This is the method that is the most commonly recommended by many at it basically means quitting smoking alone. It is definitely encouraged but you should not actually throw your last cigarettes and try to quit all of a sudden. That is not really going to work. In fact, statistics show that 97% of people that use cold turkey as a way to quit smoking will fail in the first 6 months. It is always important to get some help. Doing it alone rarely works.

Electronic Cigarettes

The electronic cigarette will offer an experience that is very much like smoking but smoke is removed. No tobacco will be burned so the official marketing angle is that it is better than the regular cigarette. The toxins included are far less but this does not actually mean they are not present. Electronic cigarettes can be effective in quitting smoking but remember that there is so much that is not well-known about electronic cigarettes. The best way in which this can work is to gradually reduce the amount of nicotine you add to the e-cig.
