The start of a New Year is as good a time as any to start making changes in your life that can promote general well-being and make you feel more energetic and content. While many people make very broad New Year’s resolutions that can be hard to stick to because they are not properly defined, like ‘get fit’ or ‘eat healthily’, in general people see more success if they make small but effective changes that are easy to stick to and clearly directed.
If you are looking for better health in 2016, would like to look better, or would perhaps like to do more to help the environment, then getting more natural things into your diet, beauty regime and lifestyle in general can be a step towards all of those goals. Here are three New Year’s resolutions you could adopt to help you toward a more natural 2016:
Get Into Juicing
We all know that fruit and vegetables are good for us – it is something most of us are told from a very early age. However, if you have a fast paced lifestyle cooking or otherwise preparing and eating these foods can end up being a low priority. Juicing is a good way to get fresh produce into your body on a daily basis, without too much effort. Just check out Juicer Fanatics to find a good juicer, and throw in whatever great fruit and veg you like or can find on special offer. Juicing actually isn’t any healthier than eating the fruit and vegetables, but it is more convenient, and if that’s how you can make the difference between not getting enough of these natural foods and having all the portions you need, it can be a great thing to incorporate into your lifestyle.
Get Some Honey in Your Bathroom
If you want to use more natural products in your beauty regime, then buying cosmetics that claim to have natural ingredients is an expensive option. Instead, using things in their basic form is cheaper, and better because you know exactly what you are putting on your hair and skin. Raw honey is an excellent beauty aid, helping with skin conditions, making an excellent exfoliant, and even being good for hair. Simply apply to skin or hair that is wet and rinse off with water – it is not as sticky as it sounds!
Grow Your Own Food
If you’d like to save money, help the environment, eat better and get yourself an interesting hobby, growing your own food is a good thing to start doing in 2016. If you have a garden, you are set, otherwise you could get an allotment, or even just grow things like herbs and chillies in window boxes – even people who live in apartments can easily start growing something. If you can’t find a way to grow food, you could grow aloe vera plants, which are a hardy relative of the cactus and will grow just fine indoors, and use them for skincare.
Having a more natural 2016 is easy when you make some small but important changes!
